I have been with the M &L sales team since the late 90’s – my background being in the firefighting trade in the Ottawa Valley. My father was a firefighter/officer and retired as Chief from a full-time fire department. I followed in his footsteps. I became a full-time firefighter/officer with the Department of National Defence and stayed for over 30 years. During those years, I also joined a volunteer fire department as a firefighter/officer and enjoyed 36+ years. I retired from the Chief’s position in March 2014. As I stated previously, I started with M & L in 1998 and it has been very rewarding to keep active with a great company and sales and support staff. The firefighting world has changed with all the new technology and the ever-changing hazards that come with change. You learn something new every day. Life is a big learning curve, and it is good to follow the curve! M & L is a progressive company with great training opportunities for staff and customers and with a wide variety of product lines to serve community fire and industrial safety needs. As we well know, large incidents of all kinds – wildfires, spills, and large fires – can happen anytime, anyplace and not just in large communities. I’m proud to be a part of a growing company that supports the trade I grew up with and continue to work in.
