I was told I had to be the first one to write a blog. Damn! What to write about!? Equipment, service, delivery time, changes in service? Done that and we’re sick of reading about it!
Let’s talk about the good things that we, the fire service, do for the public.
Camp Bucko, Muscular Dystrophy, Children’s Wish Foundation, Cancer Fundraising, Golf Tournament Fundraisers, Hockey Tournaments, Curling Bonspiels, Fire & Police Games, Food Drives, CFFF, Ladders Up…….the list goes on and on. The committees and meetings are endless but the charities are so worth it! Helping a family after a fire or at Christmas …..we’ve all heard stories about families losing their homes due to fire…..we somehow spread the word, find a place for them, and suddenly A BAD DAY TURNS INTO A GOOD ONE – for everybody.
This is the career we chose. To help protect and serve people. Be damn proud of it!!
